How do I get started with DitropGo?

A: Booking a ride with DitropGo is simple:

  1. Download the DitropGo App from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Sign up using your phone number or email address.
  3. Enter your pickup and drop off locations.
  4. Add your payment option, confirm your ride, and you’re all set to go!

A: Safety is a big deal for us at DitropGo. The Driver App comes with:

A: When you create your account on the DitropGo app, you’ll be asked to add a credit or debit card. This makes paying for rides quick and easy without having to enter your card every time.

You can update your payment info anytime by:

  • Tapping the menu icon in the top left corner
  • Selecting “Payment”
  • Choosing “Change” in the top right corner

A: Fares are based on distance and time. You can always check your estimated fare by entering your pickup and drop off points in the app before you confirm.

A: Not at the moment. We currently accept credit and debit card payments through your DitropGo wallet for a smooth and secure experience.

A: While we don’t have permanent discounts, we do run special offers and seasonal promotions throughout the year. Turn on DitropGo app notifications so you don’t miss out on great deals.

A: We understand that pets are part of the family. Whether your pet can ride along depends on the driver, so we recommend adding a quick note about your pet when booking.

If you’re traveling with a service animal, all drivers are required to accommodate them.  For everyone’s comfort, please use a pet carrier whenever possible.

A: The tech fee helps us keep improving the DitropGo app, add new features, and deliver a smoother, more reliable ridesharing experience for everyone who rides with us.

A: Yes, you can! 

When entering your destination, simply tap the “+” icon to add another stop.
Please note that multiple stops may affect the total fare since rides are priced based on distance and time.

A: It’s easy to show your appreciation! DitropGo offers three ways to tip your driver, Tip, Mid-Tip, and Post-Tip options.

Once your ride ends, open the DitropGo app, rate your driver, and choose your preferred tip amount. The amount you select will be automatically charged to your wallet.

Where does DitropGo currently operate?

At the moment, DitropGo operates only in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. We are actively working on expanding our service to Moncton, Fredericton, and other cities across New Brunswick.

To get started:

  1. Download the DitropGo Driver App from the App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Register with your email address and phone number.
  3. Upload the required documents and information.
  4. Wait up to 30 minutes for approval.
    Once approved, you can begin accepting rides and start earning immediately.

To drive ride-share with DitropGo, drivers must be at least 25 years old

The vehicle must be no more than 10 years old and have less than 200,000 km on the odometer. (Download the driver’s requirement to see other requirement).

To drive with DitropGo in New Brunswick, you’ll need to provide a Driver Abstract. This document is an official record of your driving history and is required as part of our safety and compliance checks. You can order your Driver Abstract directly through Service New Brunswick (SNB). The SNB Driver Records page provides full details on how to request your abstract online, by mail, or in person. Visit the Service New Brunswick Driver Records website for the most up-to-date information on fees, processing times, and application steps.

To drive with DitropGo, you need to be legally able to work in Canada. You can provide one of the following:

  • Canadian Citizenship card or certificate
  • Permanent Resident (PR) card
  • Valid Work Permit

Yes. DitropGo provides commercial insurance that covers both you and your vehicle while you’re on the road with us. This ensures protection and peace of mind for both drivers and riders.

To drive with DitropGo in New Brunswick, you need to hold a valid driver’s licence(any class 1/2/4) – front & back

No. Rental cars are not permitted on the DitropGo platform. To ensure safety and compliance with our insurance policy, all drivers must use personal vehicles they own.

Vehicle safety requirements are based on provincial regulations. In New Brunswick, most newly purchased vehicles will still require a valid safety inspection before being used on DitropGo. For specific details, please contact our recruitment team at careers@ditropgo.ca

There are several requirements you must meet before registering your vehicle with DitropGo. These vary depending on city and category. Please review the requirements on the Ditrop Driver mobile app to verify if your vehicle qualifies.

 If you’re involved in an accident:

  1. Immediately contact emergency services if necessary.
  2. Notify DitropGo by contacting our support team through the app.

We treat all accident reports with the highest priority.

Before driving with DitropGo, you must meet all eligibility requirements. After registering and uploading your documents:

  • You’ll receive an email with the next steps for activation (steps may vary by city).

Are you sure you want to delete your DitropGo account?

Your account will be scheduled for deletion in 20 days. After that, all your data and ride history will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered. You can cancel anytime before then by logging back in.
